News Release

Sysmex Corporation (HQ: Kobe, Japan; President: Kaoru Asano) has announced that it has concluded a naming rights agreement with Kobe City, Japan, for the new Kobe Bunka Hall scheduled to open in 2028 in Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. This facility will be called “Sysmex Kobe Cultural Hall.”

Based on the mission of “Shaping the advancement of healthcare.” set forth in the corporate philosophy the “Sysmex Way”, Sysmex has worked for many years to support people’s health through the field of healthcare. In addition to business activities, Sysmex, as a local Kobe company, maintains, manages, and opens to the public the Minato Ijinkan, which has been designated as a structure of importance in forming a landscape. By handing down valuable heritage of Kobe, the company contributes to the development of culture and arts and of the local community.

Kobe Bunka Hall, which has long been cherished by citizens, will now be relocated to a new landmark of Kobe (where the new Sysmex headquarters will be situated) based on the concept of “Connecting Kobe to the world, to the future, creating a next-generation urban center.”

As part of the redevelopment of the Sannomiya area in the center of Kobe, the hall is being renovated as a core hall for arts and culture befitting the international city of Kobe and as a hub for artistic and cultural creation to make a major contribution to the future development of Kobe.

Since its founding, Sysmex has continued to grow together with Kobe. Acquisition of the naming rights to the new Kobe Bunka Hall represents our continued dedication to the future development of culture and arts in Kobe and to being acknowledged and beloved by citizens, just as the current Kobe Bunka Hall is.

The nickname of this facility has been decided as “Sysmex Kobe Cultural Hall,” maintaining the familiarity of the current facility name that has been cherished by the local community for many years. We hope that the “Sysmex Kobe Cultural Hall,” which bears Sysmex’s corporate name, will be recognized worldwide as a core arts and cultural hall befitting the international city of Kobe. We also hope that the hall will help raise corporate awareness and promote the dissemination of new cultural and artistic works.
